And this week just a few photos of the game, Golan 73 Arab Israeli conflict. The figures are great and the game was really good. It actually turned out as a Syrian win (surprisingly) we use Cold War Commander and you can use hidden movement, this led to a game that meant we both side waltzed around each other then it just all went off in the last three rounds.
The Israeli air force getting set to put the beat down on the baddies (me in this case):
An Israeli combined arms attack:
And the unluckiest tank in the game, destroyed by friendly fire!! It was a blunder.....
The other game as a 28mm ancients using hail Ceasar. No phots but looked great.
This blog exists for two reasons (1) Like most wargamers I have a pile of figures I have never painted, never used and that may never see the light of day. This should help me pull my finger out to get them done (2) I take commissions and I can show people what I paint, and hopefully people will like what they see here...

Tver and St Petersburg Dragoons
I am nearing completion with some early Russian dragoons. I like the early Russian cavalry, the ridiculous headgear is brilliant. The Orange are the Tver regiment and the pink are the St Petersburg.
Again they are ABs, and again I like them alot.

AB Early Russian Grenadiers and Jagers
These have just been finished for a chap in Scotland. Lovely miniatures but the Jagers seemed to take for ever to finish.
First the Grenadiers, painted as the Pavlov with the 1803 Flag.
Now the jagers, regiment number 6 fought at Austerlitz.
I want to keep them.......

THE CLUB
The weekend I remember to take my figures and camera to the club and there is next to no terrain. Worcester Wargames Club has a load of terrain stored in a members garage who only lives 2 minutes away from the venue we use. It all went wrong and none of it was available when we were setting up as he was stuck in traffic in Derby!?!?! Still with a little messing about two games were still put on with what could be rustled up. One was my 7yw 10mm. The game was an allied attack, with French reinforcements coming on slowly, Black Powder variants were used for both games.
Some of the French reinforcements:
A view of the Germans shaping up to attack:
A Hanoverian Brigade:
The other game was the Battle of Alford in 28mm, at 1-8, and this is not the chaps entire English Civil War collection:
All in all a good pair of games enjoyed by everyone.

Early Napoleonic Russian Garde Hussars
These chaps have been painted for a guy in France. Again AB and again they are fantastic.
I had to send them off before I could take photos of the completed models. e wanted them before he went on holiday. Here are some hussars from the same period I sold on ebay a while back. They show edging on the shabreque, vandyck I think it is called.
It is painting these that started me taking commissions.

AB Early Cuirassier Figures
I am never disappointed with the AB, these were as ever a pleasure to paint. At some point I am going to have to paint my own figures. The light blue facings are the Emperors Cuirassier regiment.
The following are the Chevalier-Garde, the trumpeters lacing was a right pain.
I have three curassier units, one hussar and three dragoon units. All 6 figure strong. I love painting AB's.

AB Napoleonic Russian Grenadiers
Painted these for a guy in Scotland. Sweet miniatures. Painted as the Grenadiers for the Pskov and Old Ingermandland Regiments.
And a few different views, I loved painting these guys.
AB, a joy to work with they really are.
